If you’ve ever dreamed about taking a month-long vacation to Italy, then you need to read The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim. I’m listening to it and enjoying it immensely!  It is the story of four women, strangers when the story opens, who agree to split the cost of renting a castle in Italy for the month of April. Each woman responds differently to San Salvatore and its beauty. The tale is both simple and deep, allowing the reader to join each character as she processes her life up to that point and determines what direction the remainder will take.
